Courses and qualifications required.

The use of ropes combined with mountaineering techniques, as well as tree climbing, is not a profession that anyone who “invents” themselves as an expert in the sector, in search of a source of income or a job opportunity discovered one morning, can carry out .

The rock climber, the tree climber and the forestry operator responsible for cutting the woods are specific professions regulated by Legislative Decree 81/2008, art.116 paragraph 2, enabled through mandatory training and refresher courses , aimed at the procedures and operations envisaged, in particular regarding rescue procedures.

The qualifying training courses with final exam are carried out by the College of Alpine Guides, by the Forestry and Wildlife Service of the Autonomous Province of Trento, as well as by bodies certified and accredited by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Labour. strong>

Only those who are authorized can carry out this activity.

Furthermore, the material and equipment used to carry out work operations must be certified according to Legislative Decree no. 106 of 2009, and periodically reviewed.
